We all have heard the phrase – ‘Power lies within’, but have we actually experienced it? Maybe sometimes or maybe not most of the time. What is this true power that lies within? Is it our ego or the spirit? How often do we feel in power because of the designation we hold, the amount of money we earn, and the voice we have amongst our family, relatives or friends? Yes, it’s something to ponder over.
More often than not our sense of being powerful is governed by our external world – our accomplishments, the status we hold in society, the way we look and so on. It is our ego that governs the degree of power we feel within us. Perhaps, it’s time to think what if the external world is not the way our ego wants it to be – then from where do we derive our power?
In truth, it is our spirit that is the real source of power and for that matter we are All Powerful. When we connect with our inner being we become better aware of our strengths and weaknesses, our dark and light sides, our flaws and strong points. Once we get to know ourselves better, there is a certain level of acceptance towards our real self. This acceptance of our real self helps us understand from what premise we are doing what we are doing (just to prove ourselves or from a space of sheer love and joy etc.), which further frees us from the sense of judgement that we might have towards our self or others, as when we get to know ourselves better, we understand others better as well!
We all are powerful. When we derive our power from within, we stop being dependent on our outer world for it and realise the external world is nothing but the projection of our own inner world. This helps us have a sense of self from the right source, i.e. SELF. This saves us from the negativity of having a sense of superiority or inferiority with others.
How often do you spare time to connect with your SELF to become the most POWERFUL YOU?
